How to Use the Replace Function

I think this is one of the most useful tools on the editor.  Let's say you have just inserted an entire article into your editor, and you want to change one or more words throughout the entire text.  The replace function lets you do it in one operation.

Here's an example.  Let's say I want to remove flash from all the places it appears in this text

I would simply click on the replace button, and in the screen that pops up I would type in flash and click replace all.

The text would then appear as follows:

If you wanted to replace image, or images with flash images, you would simply click on the replace button, and type image in the find what field, and flash image in the replace with field, click replace all, and it will put flash infront of all the places that read image, or images.  If you wanted to only replace it where images appear, and not image, just check the match whole word.

Another use for the replace button is if you thought you knew how something was spelled, and then found out it was spelled another way.  Instead of searching the entire text, you just type in the miss spelled word in the find what field, and the correct word into the replace with field, and replace all.  The spell checker does not alway have a word, and so it won't catch it if you miss spell it, so the replace button takes up the slack in this area.

That's the replace function.
